- BSOD - Blue Screen of Death. The operating system crashed and displayed a blue screen of debug(?) information.

- IC - In Cavern. A style of reporting on an Age where the author pretends the game is real.
- OOC - Out of Cavern. A style of reporting where the author views the components of an Age as aspects of the game. (?wording?)
- Relto - The D’ni word for high place. (see: D’ni Dictionary @ http://www.eldalamberon.com/dni_dict.htm ) The word is used by modern explorers to refer to the explorer’s in cavern base and home. It contains the explorer’s personal linking books, clothes, and found artifacts. Depending on which version of the game is being played, it can be the starting point of the game. In the CD version the Relto is only found after solving the desert puzzle, which is the starting point for that version. Once one arrives at the Relto, it is possible to link to other ages. In the online versions of the game, the Relto is the starting point of the game to allow players to meet other players, get help, and link to the ages necessary to enable online chat. The linking books added by User Created Content are also to be found in the Relto.
- ULM - Uru Library Manager. A means for publishing, downloading, and installing Fan Created Ages/Artwork (FCA) in books on the Relto shelf.
